What is permanent jewelry?
It's a piece of jewelry chain, usually a bracelet, anklet or necklace custom designed and fit and the chain ends join together with a small "jump ring" and welded. Since it doesn't have a clasp, it is intended for everyday wear. It is not required to be removed at TSA.
Can permanent jewelry be removed?
Of course! The ends of the chain are linked with a jump ring. Using a small wire cutter, carefully cut the jump ring. This will allow the piece to maintain its length for repurposing, should you choose to. You may also repurpose your with a gold filled or sterling silver clasp if desired.
Can permanent jewelry be re-linked?
Absolutely! All of Bee Linked Arizona sales are final, however they come with a warranty. If the jump ring should ever fail due to normal wear, it will be re-linked at no charge. Lost jewelry is replaced at a 50% discount. Repurposed jewelry from another source can be linked for $15 at one of our events, parties, or pop-ups.
Is my jewelry water safe?
Yes! All of our chains of 14k gold-filled or sterling silver are perfectly adept to bathing, swimming and hot tubbing. To keep your jewelry long-lasting, it's recommended that you avoid extended exposure to soaps, lotions, perfume, or other harsh chemicals. Wash with a mild detergent and a soft brush and pat dry after using the pool or hot tub. The same applies for ocean swimming!
Is the welding process safe?
Yes! A micro-welder is used on each piece of jewelry, which produces a very small spark that closes the gap in the jump ring. A leather patch is placed between the skin and the work piece to ensure safety. Customers are provided with protective eyewear if they'd like to watch the "spark." Only high quality 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel chains are used, however if you have known (or unknown), allergies to these metals, it is recommended you do not get linked. Bee Linked Arizona is not responsible for any allergic reaction that may occur.
Can I wear my jewelry for a medical scan?
We recommend checking with your doctor, however in many cases your medical scan will not require removal, however should you need to remove, simply cut the jump ring and we will re-weld one piece at no charge and $15 for each piece thereafter at one of our events, parties or pop ups.
